WALKING IN THE LIGHT
1John 1:5-7, 1John 4:4, Galatians 5:22-23, Ephesians 5:8-14, John 1:9, John 8:12 WHAT IS THE IDEA OF WALKING? It implies movement, going from one thing to the next, continuity. It stands for living. Living in a way that can be described as ‘walking in the Light’. We must all seek to walk in the light or go on walking in the light. WHAT IS LIGHT? Light is beautiful, pure, true, life-giving, clear, etc. It represents what is good, holy and reliable, it reveals and shines. Light represents enlightment, it provides safety. WALKING IN THE LIGHT To walk in the light is to share His character- to walk in righteousness and purity. To walk in the light means that we daily bring our thoughts and actions under the scrutiny of God’s word and respond in obedience to its guiding influence.
