HOW DO WE MAINTAIN OUR FREEDOM IN CHRIST

This is a new day , God be praised.  So today I will continue on 'how we can be free'.

5. Believe that He has supplied everything it takes to get you free ( 11Corinthians 8:9, Isaiah 53:4-5)

6. Believe that you receive the benefits of His promises ( Mark 11:22-24, Psalms 68:19)

Having seen how we can we free,  I will proceed to the next outline,kindly follow through.

HOW DO WE MAINTAIN OUR FREEDOM

After we know how we can be free, how then
do we maintain this freedom. It will be unwise of us to think we can maintain the freedom we have in Christ by clinging to the feeling of freedom. Before we were made free we did not feel like freedom was possible. It was believing the truth that we were made free.  We must then maintain the freedom the same way we received the freedom.

# Believing the truth
It doesn't seem hard until we realize that the enemy of our soul has one goal - to lie to us and cause us to doubt. He can't steal our freedom from us but he would love us to believe his lies thereby cooperating with him to defeat us once again.
So let's be warned according to - 1Peter 5:8-9
We have to believe what God has said about us and about our freedom  - John 8:36

# Submission to God
James 4:7
There is a need to submit and draw near to God, resisting the devil is necessary too.  So how then do we resist the devil, we resist just like Jesus did - Matthew 4 .He didn't argue with the devil, he didn't ignore the devil either. He didn't rationalize with the devil.
He simply resisted the devil with the truth. He spoke the word to stand firm against every lie the devil spoke.  The key to recognize THE LIE before it takes over us is to resist with THE TRUTH.

# Rely on Holy Spirit
Rely on Holy Spirit to control your life, emotions, desires and imaginations. Give Lordship to Jesus each and every day - Romans 8:11-14

# Take time to read and meditate on God's word daily -Joshua 1:8

# Don't think you can make it alone, be smart, admit you can't  and then ask Him for His help - John 15:5



HINDRANCES TO FREEDOM

There are some hindrances to freedom in Christ and they are as follow;
1. Unconfessed sin
Proverbs 28:13
We all have sinned but God needs us to confess our sins so that He can help us. It is for our own good. It is not for God's information because He already knows, so no Matter how terrible the sin might be, God has promised that He will forgive us(1John 1:9)
So confess and do yourself some good.

2. Unbelief
Unbelief is choosing not to believe God. I am talking not believing what He says. The good news is if we are willing to admit our lack of confidence in Him, He is more than able to help us overcome our unbelief.

I believe you have been blessed through this word today, I will continue on the hindrances tomorrow and then we will conclude the series too. Stay blessed.
