So, kindly follow me through as I take you on a journey with the topic THE WORKINGS OF THE HOLYSPIRIT, stay blessed.

Holy spirit is the third person of the Trinity.

We must understand that
Holy spirit is much more than an unseen personality and come to the understanding that the Holy spirit is the spirit of God in us that identifies us as children of God.

The holy spirit plays a crucial role in our growth and in relationship with Jesus. The Holy spirit is not an option in the life of a believer.

I will be sharing with you some workings of the Holy spirit in our lives.

1. One of the workings of the Holy spirit is to convict us of our sins.(John 16:8).
Our first encounter with the Holy spirit is when He convicts us of our sins.

 He convicts peoples hearts of God's truth concerning how sinful we are -needing God's forgiveness, how righteous Jesus is - He died in our place for our sins.

The Holy spirit tugs on our hearts and minds asking us to repent and turn to God for forgiveness and a new life.

He uses an experience, pastor's sermon to convict us of sin and our need to run our lives over to Jesus,He points to us and says you are a sinner ,you need to repent.



2. The Holy spirit spirit gives new life
The Bible says that we are dead in our sins and trespasses .(Ephesians 2:1)Our spirit within us is dead  towards God . Man needs life,so the Holy spirit gives us new life in Christ.
The Holy spirit is the one who does the work of making you a born again person. It is a supernatural act.

3. The Holy spirit gives you power to serve Christ (Acts 1:8)
It is not by our own power we are able to serve God but by the spirit of God .
We are empowered to do His wills,follow His ways. It is by Him we are able to do what Christ wants. He is really a great help.

4. Holy spirit is the revealer of truth
His  presence within us enables us to understand and interprete God's word.(John 16:13). He reveals to our minds the whole counsel of God as it relates to worship,doctrines and Christian living.

He is the ultimate guide ,going before ,leading the way,removing obstruction, opening the understanding and making all things plain and clear.


5. Holy spirit is a gift giver(1Corinthians 12)
This describes the spiritual gifts given to believers in other that we may function as the body of Christ on earth.

All this gifts are given by the spirit so that we may be His ambassadors to the world,showing forth His grace and glorifying Him.

The gift of God empowers you for the calling God has placed on your life.


6. It also functions as fruit producer
When He indwells in us,He begins with the work of harvesting His fruits in our lives(Galatians 5:22-23).

The manifestation of the fruit doesn't happen automatically as many expects it to be but through prayer,exposition to more of Gods word and a conscious effort to practice the fruits in our daily life.

It aids our walk with God and with other people.


7.The Holy spirit prompts us to worship
There is a time to be quiet in the presence of the Lord,a time to hear the word,there is also a time to praise the lord with an upraised voice(Revelation 19:6).

The spirit incites us to that kind of worship.



CONCLUSION
Every believer must seek to grow an intimate relationship with the Holy spirit if we must grow in the stature of Christ and in ministry.

This can be done through communion with the Holy spirit in prayers and studying of the word of God regularly.

The knowledge that the Holy spirit of God has taken up residence in our lives is something to be grateful for.
