BEAUTY FOR ASHES

ISAIAH 61:3
Isn't it beautiful that God says He can give you beauty for ashes?

This message is a promise from God that He wants to give you beauty for ashes. He offers to give us the beauty of His own life to replace the ashes of our self life.

I think we concentrate on the  beauty but unless you give Him your ashes, you don't get beauty. What then are Ashes?

Ashes are that wounded
parts of our lives. Everybody has wounds, everybody has ashes, all kinds of them. The hardest wounds to turn to God are the ones you wounded yourself with when you did stupid things.

In John 16:33, Jesus reminds us that He came set us free. He came to bring hope. He came to bring beauty from ashes.  He never intends for us to stay stuck in our sin, pain or deep sorrow.

He will never leave us nor forsake us,His love for us is greater than we could ever imagine.

He calls us onward,He reminds us that in Him we have great purpose and hope.

There is beauty and greatness behind every mark of darkness. The ashes will fall away, they don't stay forever but His greatness and glory shines forever through every broken piece and flaws we have struggled with.



How then can we enjoy this promise?

Any malfunction we have or have experienced in our lives, particularly in the area of our sexuality can be corrected.

God did not leave us helpless, He has the capabilities to correct whatever has gone wrong.

If you hold unto those ashes you may never get His beauty.

He has the power and wisdom to recharge, renovate, restore and refit us. 

We need to ask the Holy Spirit for help 

Discuss everything and express all your emotions to God. He is always ready to send help to you.

Our first battle ground is in the mind. Anyone who influences your thoughts is influencing your life. 

The quality of your thoughts determines the quality of your life-11Corinthians 10:3-5. You need to line up your thinking with God's word. That is why you need to read your Bible ,this can help to replace the thoughts in your mind.

Ephesians 4:22-24

Cling onto God's word 

He has  said it and so it will happen,cling onto it. It may not look like anything is changing, but soon you will experience and feel His beauty. 

Your future does not depend on your past

You are a chosen generation, so no matter what has gone wrong in the past, your future won't be tampered with.  It is secured in Christ and you can still do great exploits.

God is the champion at bringing people from a place of destruction to a place of total victory. 

As they reach that place of victory, they become trophies of His grace and they are set on the display as a fragnant reminder of God's goodness. I am a living testimony of this. So it is real. 

Remember this: God's love for you is perfect because it is based on Him and not you. So even when you failed ,He keeps loving you.

He desires the best for you and therefore invests His best in you. So don't look down on yourself, don't be discouraged. 

CONCLUSION

When we let God take our messes,he turns them into miracles. Our father has the ability to use our mistakes and turn them into something of beauty if we trust Him totally.. 

Let go of all your ashes and reach for something new. Too many people live in the past, feeling like they will never have another chance. Do you need a second chance? Ask God for a second chance or a third, fourth or fifth,  whatever your need, just know God is full of mercy and long suffering, His loving kindness never fails or comes to an end. He is patiently waiting for you.

He can lift your burdens, but you must be willing to let them go and believe He is greater than your mistakes.
