CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD'S LOVE

Hello fam, welcome to my blog,are you reading for the first time,I am so excited and glad to have you,I love you loads and are you a regular reader,you know you mean a lot to me right.. And for everyone that wished me well yesterday on my birthday,God bless you greatly,you guys are the best...
So I started a series on LOVE last week and to continue,I will be sharing with you the CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD'S LOVE. So Happy Reading....

1. Powerful love- Romans 8:35-39
The love of God is a strong powerful love. It is not a weak love that can easily be destroyed. The Lord has redeemed us with His precious blood and we are valuable in His sight. He won't allow anyone to snatch us from His hand. Nothing can separate us from His love.

2. Protective love- Psalms 91:14-16
The love of God is a protective love. It protects us from our own self destructive ways.

3. Patient love- 2Peter 3:9
The love of God is patient. It does not destroy us because of our imperfections. God is long-suffering and slow to anger because of His great love towards us. He patiently waited for us to be formed in His likeness.

4. Proven love- John 3:16
The love of God is a proven love. It was proved by the sacrificial death of Christ on the cross. We can be certain that God loves us truly.

5. Perfect love- IJohn 4:18
The love of God is a perfect love. It is only in God's love that the perfections of love can be experienced.

God is the Genesis(beginning) of love. He is it's source and it is by Him that we experience love. We do not have to view God as our punisher but rather as our heavenly father who has a plan and purpose for our lives. When we recognize that Christ is our advocate,we can rest in assurance of God's love.
