THE ART OF DELIGENCE

 

So it’s officially the start of the second half of the year 💃💃💃Welcome to July, I am super excited, one of the many reasons is because I have lots of lovelies celebrating their birthdays in this month, talking about my mum, sister and nephews…

So let me ask you, how was the first half of the year at your end? Was it filled with ups and downs?

So let’s get right into the gist of the today, who is ready?

Seeth a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before mean men.

PROVERBS 22:29

Having read that bible verse, I want us to pick the word ‘DELIGENCE’. What does it mean to be diligent? What happens when you are diligent?

To be diligent means to put in a lot of quality effort to achieve a goal. This means you put some care, attention, persistence and determination in the things you want to achieve.

Diligence is a skill we must learn in our Christian journey, business, career and what have you.

But mind you, it doesn’t just happen, it is a deliberate action. You have to be deliberate about it and more so it’s a continuous thing.

And do you know another version says; seeth a man skillful in his business……. That means with time, he had developed expertise, he had put in a lot of efforts and acquired the necessary skills, so he is now so skillful….

The art of diligence is something we all need to work towards. We can’t get to know more of God if we don’t put attention to knowing, more so if we are not persistent with knowing God through the study of the word, we might be limited in our knowing.

And also in our day to day activities, career, business, etc, if we don’t carefully pay attention, put in more efforts, develop the necessary skills, we might not get better at what we do, we might not see the good results we envisage.

So even as we go on in this new month and months to come, lets endeavor to start being diligent ,lets acquire skills and develop expertise , because when we do this, we become better and we are sourced for where it matters. 

You want to know more of God and build up a relationship with Him? Then study Gods word like never before, listen to Christian messages and podcast, participate in Christian gatherings.

In your career, you need some set skills to be better? Do a course, register and follow closely and then apply it.

Need some form of education to add to your knowledge? Yes go ahead and register for classes.

You love to write and you want to improve on it and become better? Do online courses.

You are an entrepreneur and you want to make more sales and remain relevant?  Then attend webinars, get a coach, read books and just be that one person that is sourced for where it matters.

I hope you are energized for this month and the second half of the year with these words you have received?
